Track 2 Pediatric Infection 

Pediatric Infectious Disease is a focused on the multidisciplinary field of pediatric infectious diseases.. This covers a broad range of topics, including vaccine development and safety, viral and bacterial infections, pediatric HIV, global health initiatives, antimicrobial stewardship, infections in immunocompromised patients, and transplant immunology. With contributions from physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and scientists, it offers valuable insights and research findings to advance the understanding and management of infectious diseases in children. As a peer-reviewed publication, it provides a platform for disseminating cutting-edge research and fostering collaboration among experts in the field.

Track 3 Pediatrics Anesthesia  

Pediatric anesthesia involves administering anesthetics to neonates, infants, or children undergoing surgery. Due to their immature body functions, special preoperative considerations are essential. Physicians examine patients, assess family history of anesthesia, drug allergies, and medical history. Pediatric patients must follow pre-anesthetic fasting guidelines to ensure safe anesthesia administration. Breastfed infants fast for at least four hours, solid food consumers for eight hours, and formula-fed infants for six hours. This ensures patients are relaxed and their bodies are prepared for anesthesia. Anesthesia induction involves administering sedatives, analgesics, or anticholinergics. Inhalation is a common method for induction. Pediatric anesthesia requires meticulous care to ensure safe and effective surgery for young patients.

 Track 4 Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

Pediatric allergy and immunology focuses on diagnosing and managing allergies, asthma, eczema, and other immune system disorders in children. Pediatric allergist-immunologists identify triggers and intervene with preventive and treatment strategies to reduce symptoms and reactions. Allergies and immunologic conditions affect millions of children globally, often beginning in childhood and being highly treatable. Treatment may involve avoiding triggers and using medications like intranasal steroids or antihistamines. Allergy immunotherapy, or allergy shots, can decrease sensitivity to allergens, offering lasting relief. In children with allergy-triggered asthma, shots can reduce symptoms like watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, and wheezing. However, they're not recommended for children under five, and food allergies aren't treated with immunotherapy. Pediatric allergist-immunologists are MDs or DOs with specialized training in these conditions.

Track 5 Pediatric Allergies

Children can develop allergies to various substances, including pollen, dust mites, pet dander, food, medications, and insect bites. Allergic reactions can affect different parts of the body, including the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal system. Symptoms may include red or teary eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itching of the mouth and throat, wheezing, eczema, hives, vomiting, or diarrhea.For skin allergies, doctors may recommend daily bathing with non-soap cleansers, moisturizing after bathing, and using anti-inflammatory medications like topical steroids or nonsteroidal creams.In the case of significant allergic reactions, urgent medical care is necessary. While most allergy-related care occurs in a doctor's office, severe reactions require immediate attention.Children tend to have more food allergies than adults, but many outgrow them as they age. Adults are more likely to be allergic to pollen than young children.

Track 6 Pediatric Asthma

Asthma inflames the airways, increases mucus production, and tightens airway smooth muscles, leading to coughing, wheezing, and breathlessness. Pediatric allergists treat acute asthma with short-acting medication to open airways. Chronic asthma may require regular medication, like inhaled corticosteroids, to reduce inflammation.Pediatric allergists and immunologists diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of medical conditions, from common to complex and rare. These include AIDS/HIV, anaphylaxis, atopic dermatitis, cystic fibrosis, drug sensitivity, eczema, environmental allergies, and food and drug allergies. They also address immune deficiency, insect bites, sinusitis, lupus, and urticaria (hives). During this procedure, the doctor uses a small device to prick the skin on the upper back or arm with an allergen. Pediatric HIV progresses faster than in adults, leading to symptoms like slow growth, severe wasting, infections, and tuberculosis. Diagnosis involves antibody testing, viral load measurement, and CD4 cell count. Antiretroviral therapy (ART) aims to suppress the virus, preserve immune function, and improve health outcomes.   • A single registration permits only one person to attend the conference.
  • If you have co-authors who wish to attend the conference, they need to register and pay independently.
  • Co-authors will receive a 15% discount on the Non-Presenter’s (Listener’s) Registration Fee.

For attending a conference in Japan, you will need a Short-Term Stay Visa under the "Conference" category. This visa allows you to stay in Japan for up to 90 days for the purpose of attending a conference or meeting.

Step 2 : Gather Required Documents

To apply for a Short-Term Stay Visa, please prepare the following documents:

  • Passport: Valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Japan.
  • Visa Application Form: Complete and sign the application form available from the Japanese Embassy or Consulate.
  • Photograph: A recent passport-sized photo (2 inches by 2 inches) attached to the application form.
  • Conference Invitation Letter: A formal invitation letter from the 8th World Pediatrics Conference organizers.
  • Proof of Conference Registration: A confirmation of your registration for the conference.
